The reason I am reviewing these so late is because I just got them last week >_<
The post office in my hometown was closed from December 20 to January 5th, so I have alot of mail to catch up on.
Now onto the good stuff!
For December's Glymm Box, I was lucky to receive a Caudalie Enzymatic Peel Mask (full size: 40ml/ $40), Ahava Mineral Hand Cream (full size: 3.4 oz./ $20), Yves Saint Laurent La Parisienne perfume (full size: 3 oz./ $85), Sula Beauty Natural Lip Gloss in In Disguise (full size: 0.5 fl. oz./ $8) and a $10 gift card to Glymm's Beauty Boutique!
I love Caudalie products, so I was super excited to try out the mask. I really like this mask, so I would definitely be looking to try purchasing it in the future (it brightened up my complexion within a week of use!).
I am always on the lookout for a hand cream since my hands get dry in the winter >_<
I really like this hand cream! It moisturises without being greasy, has a light scent that isn't overpowering and best of all, it can fit in my purse. Score!
Since my fragrance samples seem to be piling up, I'm not going to get to try La Parisienne right away, but I like the floral scent (built with notes of blackberry, damask rose, and sandalwood). It reminds me of spring. Honestly, I'm still in love with Burberry Body but I can definitely see this scent becoming a favorite.
Another thing that I seem to be stockpiling is lipgloss. BUT! I really like the shade I was sent, so I look forward to using it (most likely be wearing it to work, along with the Cargo lipgloss I received in my TopBox).
Overall, I quite liked last month's Glymm Box.
In the Holiday edition of Luxe Box, I received Kerastase Elxir Ultime (full size: 125ml/ $50), Velour Upper Lashes ($60!!), Prada Candy and Infusion D'Iris (full size: 50ml /$96, $95), and DDF Advanced Firming Cream.
I was very lucky to receive another Kerastase Elixir Ultime, since I am loving it more than Moroccan Oil. I will definitely purchase the full size, since it does a great job of making my hair shiny without looking greasy (plus, goodbye frizz).
I like the Prada fragrances, however, I got to check out my aunt's LuxeBox and it came with Paco Rabanne. I personnally prefer those scents. As for the DDF advanced firming cream, I am just debating on whether or not to give to an older family member or to save it for later (perhaps closer to my 25th birthday?). Decisions, decisions. I might even try it next week!
The product I was most excited to recieve were the Velour false lashes. They are made out of mink! I honestly had no idea such a thing could exist. According to Loose Button, they can be worn up to 25 times, which is reassuring to me, since I recently got into false lashes and it pains me to throw them away after only using them 3-4 times.
I cannot wait to try them out!
I love, love, LOVE December's Luxebox, it honestly felt like I received a gift during the holidays. Plus, the Loosebutton Logo chocolate is so precious! (I'm a sucker for candy and chocolate haha).
Last, but not least, is the December TopBox. Though I signed up in October, I was one of the unfortunate few to have my November TopBox lost in the mail (and I was so excited for that one since it had a cute Deborah Lippmann nail polish and Cake moisturiser >_<). So this was my first TopBox!
I got a Cargo Cosmetics blu_ray Gloss with TimeStrip Technology in Alexandria, Cover FX Skinprep FX Primer, Skinceuticals Hydrating B5 Gel, and Bella Pella Marula and Neroli Glycerine Soap. I was very pleased to receive 2 full sized products! And I can say that I've tried all the samples except for the soap, since it is too damn cute to use. I really like the lipgloss, and wear it daily. It's perfect for work! The only thing is I'm not a big fan of the Timestrip. While it is quite handy, I feel like I have to hurry to use up the gloss, and I just prefer using it til it's empty (as weird as that sounds haha). As for the Cover Fx skinprep primer, I seem to like it. I made the mistake of using it with BB cream though (and BB cream is pretty much a tinted moisturiser/makeup base anyway) so I don't think it worked quite well. I do have a foundation sample (Estee Lauder) so I will pair it with that once my sample of BB cream is used up.
I finally got to try a Skinceuticals product! And I loved it! It is perfect to use in Dry, cold air (which was my work environment during the holidays). My only beef is the price, but knowing me, I'll probably buy it (my poor, poor bank account >_<). However, I do prefer the Caudalie Vinoperfect Serum over it (and Lancome's Visionnaire).
So for my first TopBox, I was impressed! I look forward to receiving more ^_^
Overall, my favorite Box for December was the LuxeBox, with the TopBox a close second.
