Well, to celebrate the release of Speed Racer (which opened with a whimper- Seriously, get off your computer and watch it already!), I thought I would bring up an awkward subject that most female geeks are privy to.
Crushes!
While male (ok, and some female) Star Trek fans are able to name Captain Janeway as their paramour, most girls are laughed at for their crush choices.
I think one of my first crushes was Goku from Dragon Ball Z. And yes, I was a kid, how could I not carry a torch for a man-child with crazy hair? (Homeboy also owned a cloud. What? He did, Google it.)
But I digress.
My latest hormone-inducing subject of my affections is none other than Speed Racer. And no, not the cartoon version with the pretty eyes and gnarly scarf.
He's a close second. ;)
I'm talking about the live action version portrayed by Emile Hersh.
Yum.
Now, excuse me while I go watch Speed Racer in IMAX (God bless the big screen).
